The Craft & Hobby Association’s summer trade show will feature product innovations and education for retailers and manufacturers in the creative arts marketplace.

Catering to manufacturers, retailers and e-retailers in the paper crafts industry, including stamp, ink, embellishments and adhesives, the Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) announces its Paper Arts+ Show. The Show will take place July 21-23, 2015 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center in Schaumburg, IL.  This premier educational event will provide attendees with a first-hand look at thousands of new holiday SKUs and great ideas for holiday shopping, gift making, card making and more.

The Paper Arts+ Show, which is free for CHA members to attend, will kick off with a day of hands-on learning, including nine workshops using mixed media, stamps, paper and fabrics, as well as a DIY home décor and other inspiring products.

On July 22-23, retailers and e-retailers will start each morning at a Retailer Jumpstart Session led by industry experts Lee Kellogg and Roseann Kermes.  “Specialize or Diversify: How to Manage Your Store Inventory,” will discuss strategies for how to buy the right products for the right customers.  “Diversifying Your Store to Bring in Multi Generations” will explore how to reach the millennial crafters and Makers while avoiding alienating baby boomers and other current customers.

The exhibit floor will star a wide spectrum of products with exhibitors showcasing the latest crafting innovations and make-n-takes, from paper to jewelry to mixed media materials.  Exhibiting companies include Art Impressions, BoBunny, Crafters’ Home, Eileen Hull Designs, Graphic 45, Little B, Ellison/Sizzix, Stampendous, and Therm O Web, to name a few.

“Paper Arts+ will be a craft fusion experience not to be missed, especially if you are looking for ways to grow your business and keep ahead of industry trends,” said Andrej Suskavcevic, President & CEO of CHA.

Putting the “plus” in Paper Arts+ is the Crafters’ Home Showcase on July 19-20.   For the first time, CHA brick-and-mortar retail members can attend this annual sample showcase for a nominal fee.  Retailers will get a chance to work directly with many of the Crafters’ Home Showcase Partner Vendors, preparing samples and project displays, giving attendees fresh ideas on how to help move product as soon as it arrives at their stores.  

Networking and sales opportunities round out the Show’s activities. They include a welcome reception on July 21 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., which will preview the exhibit floor, and the popular Open Market on July 22 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., a two-hour trade-only warehouse shopping frenzy where attendees can buy discounted products to have in their stores within days.
